Bright light yellow colour. Aromas typical of Grüner Veltliner such as green apple, gooseberry and lime. Refreshing and lively character. Nice balance between fruit and acidity. A hint of pepper colours the finish. Natural wine with a pure and stable character.
Naturally delicious with a local Wiener Schnitzel, roast or fried chicken, pork roast with pickles, cold buffet and fried fish or other seafood.

Carnuntum is located in Lower Austria's southernmost and warmest wine region, on the Danube. It is characterised by a dry summer and a fairly warm autumn, allowing the grapes to ripen optimally. It is an offshoot of the Pannonian plain that benefits from a microclimate and is protected from the cold from the north by forests. The Danube regularises and flattens temperature peaks. Veltliner is grown near the river to ensure more fraîche.

Harvested by hand at the end of September. Gentle pressing of full bunches and loose grapes. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with 100% natural yeasts. Cold and slow fermentation. The wine is only siphoned once to keep the wine on its lees as much as possible. Not filtered.
